Montreal, December 4th 2018
May the Lord’s grace and peace be with you.
I would like to invite you to a breakfast time of sharing among pastors of every confession. It will take place
on Saturday morning, January 26th, 2019, from 11:00 to 1:00 at Complexe C.E.U.M., 8555 8th Avenue, Mon-
treal, Qc. The purpose is to discuss the state of Christian faith in Quebec and in Canada.
Our country and province are experiencing great changes; the politics in recent years has been challenging
our Christian values, but the church of Christ has remained voiceless while other persons (atheists or other
religions) are making headway. If this tendency persists, restrictions will continue to strengthen against Chris-
tians, possibly ending in a state of paralysis.
One pastor told me how the city of Montreal made his task of finding a facility for his new church difficult.
He had to resign himself to renting space in another church.
We ourselves were prohibited from renting facilities in a school all because we had been praying before doing
the classes. People asked to see our preaching before preaching in city parks. Perhaps you have your own
story about the obstacles preventing you from functioning adequately as a church.
I watch the prime minister of Canada and the premier of Quebec with their different deputies walking in the
gay pride parades. Yet I don’t see any politicians participating in the march for Jesus!
Canada has done nothing to help Christians who are being massacred by Muslims in Syria and elsewhere in
the world. In fact, we don’t even hear about it in the newspapers.; we receive news from other Christians via
Facebook. In a video on YouTube, the prime minister declares that Canada is founded upon Muslim values.
I wanted to meet with an NDP deputy, and she asked me not to call her stating, ‘’I know you, and I know your
church; we don’t have the same values; don’t call me.’’
In prayer I felt that God was directing me to gather together pastors who love their province and their country
in order to have a political voice and to enable the Christian values we cherish so much to be lifted up. Our
association, UVVC: Uni-T one voice for Christian values, was birthed then.
Not to act is to give consent to everything that is going on! Take the time at least to consider the possibility
of participating in this breakfast and sharing with us what is in your heart on the subject.
United, we are a powerful force for overturning the politics which is limiting us from spreading the gospel
and which is opposing Christian values. However, we have been divided by all sorts of dogma. I don’t want
to change your convictions or call you to a meeting to talk about doctrines but to save Quebec and Canada
which was a Christian nation and to reintroduce a salty flavor.
Thank you for reading my letter, and I pray that your heart responds to this invitation to stand together for
the decency of Christian values.
